Wadowice - the hometown of Pope John Paul II, where "everything began..." - is a town located to the south of Zator, only 10 km away (about 15 minutes by car). For years, the Family Home Museum of John Paul II in Wadowice, located at 7 Kościelna Street - next to the Basilica of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary - has attracted crowds of tourists from all over the world. There is also no shortage of gourmets of the "Papal cream cakes".

Auschwitz - Birkenau is a place of martyrdom for Poles, Jews, and people of other nationalities, murdered during World War II by German Nazis. The museum is located 22 km from our hotel.

When visiting Oświęcim, it is worth planning a tour of the underground tunnels of the local castle. In the tunnels beneath the medieval castle, you can experience an unforgettable history lesson. The museum is located only 18 km from Zator.

The Passion and Marian Sanctuary in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, called the "Polish Jerusalem," attracts thousands of pilgrims and tourists every year. This place, located 32 km from us, is part of a historic architectural-landscape and pilgrimage complex: the Basilica, the Bernardine Monastery, and the Pathways. Due to its unique cultural, natural, and religious value, it has been (as the only Calvary in the world!) inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Nadwiślański Ethnographic Park Museum is located in Wygiełzów, in the neighboring Babice commune, just 10 km from Zator. For tourists who eagerly come from various parts of Poland, an open-air museum and the nearby Lipowiec Castle await.

The "Underground Olkusz" route, located in the town square, is gaining increasing popularity. Following the 14th-century underground passages, we discover the extraordinary history of Olkusz - the "Silver City." The Olkusz Market Square is less than 42 km from Hotel Zator.

At a short distance, just 50 km from Zator, is located the largest area of loose sands in Poland, situated on the border of the Olkusz Upland and the Silesian Upland. The Błędowska Desert is currently one of the region's top tourist attractions!
